The Quiet

At the moment things are awfully quiet around here considering that 6 children ages 9 and under are present. Let's see...after a busy busy morning with much whining from Charlotte and Ella, they are both sleeping. Maddie and Teshome both had rest time while Peter and Kate did a little school work. I wasn't going to worry too much about school this week, but then I decided that my children who THRIVE on routine and schedule and having a purpose each day, would be a MESS if I just let them have a free for all this whole week. Now Maddie and Teshome are up- she's playing with cars and he is copying words from a book. Peter and Kate are finishing up their math. About the copying- it seems that Teshome LOVES to learn and is very eager to write whatever he sees. He is in the right house! I'm sure the quiet will be over any time now when Peter or Kate do something to annoy Maddie or Teshome decides to play with the noisy remote controlled dump trunk or the noisy lion flashlight or the noisy leap frog fridge magnet toys, and Ella and Charlotte get up. For now, I am just amazed that this house can be so quiet. But I am not going to get used to it.
