When you can't beat 'em, join 'em

When it comes to making noise, that is. There are times when it just isn't worth trying to yell to be heard. Like last night on the way home from Peter's piano lesson. Peter was talking non stop as usual and asking me questions that I couldn't really hear, Kate was yelling at Maddie to be quiet, Maddie was saying hi to the moon very loudly, Ella was whining and trying to unbuckle her carseat, Charlotte was screaming for her supper. Didn't they know that I was trying to concentrate on not driving us into a ditch?! So I did the only thing that made any sense- I turned the music up just in time to belt out "Silent Night" with Sara Groves. How appropriate.

did they look at you like you had lost it? heehee that's what the girls do to me. I remember one time I turned it up really loud on static and it drove them crazy! Why do they feel that they have to be SO loud in the car?
