Maddie must have been inspired by the farmer's wife.
They were such cute little clay mice left to harden, but attacked before they had a fair chance. I don't even think they were blind. Poor things didn't just get their tails cut off; they were mashed to crumbs.
Of course, Maddie had a partner in crime- as usual. The little sister she drags into most of her trouble and then blames.
A very hungry partner in crime apparently. Would clay count as dirt and does my daughter have pica?
